Khaptad Area Welcomes Surge in Tourism in Past Seven Months

The Khaptad area witnessed a notable increase in tourism, signaling growing interest in the region's religious significance and natural beauty.

Over the last seven months of this fiscal year, the picturesque Khaptad area in Sudurpaschim Pradesh had 883 domestic travelers.
According to the officials of Khaptad National Park, this place with a sense of religious importance and natural beauty received 18 international visitors and 865 local visitors from July to January this year.
The fiscal year 2077/78 BS statistics show that only 3 foreign visitors and 1685 Nepali nationals made the journey to Khaptad. The growth of 2,200 visitors the next year is a significant jump. Similarly, the total number of visitors last fiscal year was 2,891.
March to May in the spring and October to November in the autumn are the best times to visit the park. From June to September due to the monsoon season and from December to February due to snow and chilling winds, visitors may face difficulties in fully enjoying the beauty of the park. Park authorities remain hopeful about a forecasted increase in the number of visitors since the spring tourist season is about to start.
