The Nepal Super League's second edition is set to commence on November 24, with the Kathmandu Rayzrs facing Sporting Ilam at the Dashrath Stadium. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the first iteration of Nepal's sole franchise football league took place without spectators. Nevertheless, the upcoming second edition aims to metamorphose it into a magnificent celebration, embracing the essence of football on a grander scale.
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba will inaugurate the second edition of the Nepal Super League. In addition, the opening ceremony will showcase performances by renowned singers Sushant KC and Wangden Sherpa, accompanied by twin sisters Prisma and Princy Khatiwada.
The opening ceremony is slated to begin at 4 pm on Friday, with the official launch of the second season occurring at 6 pm between Kathmandu Rayzrs and Sporting Ilam.
This year's edition will see a total of nine teams competing. Tickets for the tournament can be purchased via IME Pay, with general admission set at Rs 200 and VIP tickets priced at Rs 500. Fans can also catch the action live on Himalaya TV.
