Pokhara, Nepal - After a three-month pause due to the monsoon season, the skies of Pokhara are set to be adorned with colorful hot air balloons once again. Starting September 1, enthusiasts and tourists can experience the thrill of soaring up to 6,000 feet, offering panoramic views of iconic landmarks such as Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Annapurna, the tranquil Phewa Lake, and the scenic Pokhara Valley.
Bikram Bade, the President of Balloon Nepal, shared the exciting news and highlighted the unique experience passengers can expect. From the impressive Pumdikot Mahadev to the picturesque landscapes of Sarangkot Mandredhunga, the balloon rides promise an unforgettable journey. In an exciting development, Balloon Nepal, which previously had a single balloon in operation, will now be launching two balloons. These will be expertly navigated by seasoned pilots from the USA and Vietnam.
For those eager to embark on this aerial adventure, the launch point is set at Pame in Pokhara. The rides are scheduled in two shifts: an early morning session from 5 AM to 9 AM and an afternoon session from 3 PM to 6 PM. The experience is open to individuals aged three and above, ensuring that it caters to a wide range of enthusiasts.
As for the pricing, Nepali tourists can enjoy the ride for Rs 9,500. Visitors from SAARC nations can avail the experience for US$100, while tourists from other countries can partake for US$130. The package includes additional amenities such as breakfast, round-trip transportation between Lakeside and Pame, and a special commemorative certificate.
