In light of the potential surge of devotees arriving from Nepal once the newly constructed Ram Temple opens to the public, various Nepali businesses express eagerness to invest in the city of Ayodhya. According to Nepal's ambassador to India, Shankar Sharma, both individuals and businesses display an increased interest in investment opportunities within Ayodhya.

During an interview, Sharma stated that although the Nepalese government is not involved at present, private enterprises from Nepal have already begun investing and many others are considering doing so in Ayodhya. With the existing properties in the city being inadequate to accommodate the expected rise in demand post the Ram Temple's inauguration in early 2024, Sharma highlights the strong anticipation of a considerable number of Nepalese devotees flocking to Ayodhya upon the temple's completion.

Sharma explains that for many years, it has been customary for Nepali people to visit Ayodhya to carry out rituals and obtain sacred soil to be included in marriage ceremonies conducted in Janakpur, Nepal. He believes that the inauguration of the Ram Temple will send a powerful and positive message to all Nepali individuals, likely resulting in an overwhelming desire among them to visit this location. This increased presence of Nepali citizens can be seen as having a crucial role in reinforcing relations between Nepal and India.

Ram Temple holds immense importance for Nepal. Most of Nepalese follow Hinduism like India. Janaki Temple is situated in Janakpur, Nepal. Thus there is more added interest for us Nepalese people to visit both Ram and Janaki temple. Sharma notes that hundreds of thousands of individuals from Nepal are expected to visit Ayodhya annually in the coming years.
