Nepali cyclists shine in 6th MTB Tawang Challenge in India, securing victories across categories in India's national cycling competition on Day one.

Nepalese cyclists participated and won in the 6th Mountain Terrain Bike (MTB) Tawang Challenge, a national cycling calendar competition in India's Tawang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh State, which commenced yesterday with competitors from numerous states and nations.

The Arunachal Cycling Association (ACA) President and Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi, Tawang District Commissioner Kangi Darang, and the Cycling Federation of India (CFI) Secretary General Maninder Pal Singh inaugurated the two-day contest.

On day one, three categories of events took place: Boys XCO - Mass Start, Girls XCO - Mass Start, and Boys (junior) Time Trial for 3.8 kilometers. Participants included 32 riders from various countries including Nepal.

In the Boys' XCO event, Ronel Kundrakpam from Manipur secured first place, Shiven from Himachal in second place, and Ashis Sherpa from Himachal in third place. In the Girls' XCO event, Phyrnai Kyndait of Meghalaya won first place, Urbasin Haomom of Manipur took second place, and Lawankordor Swer of Meghalaya came in third. For the Junior Boys' Time Trial event, Dip Sagar Tamang from Nepal claimed first place, Thotmachan Awangshi from Manipur placed second, and Nima Sherpa from Nepal finished third.
