A number of nine COVID-19 cases have been reported in recent days in the region of Sudurpaschim Province.
The Directorate of Health Services revealed nine people returning from India tested positive for the coronavirus after antigen testing.
The collection of samples took place at various border locations inside the province like Gauriphanta, Gaddachauki, Jhulaghat, and Pulghat. When eight cases of COVID-19 infections were established, their samples were sent to the central laboratory for additional workup.
Ganesh Saud, an AHW and health desk officer at the Gauriphanta border stated that it was important to follow protocols on health safety. He advised the people with confirmed infections to follow home isolation and take treatment at a hospital on requirement if their condition is aggravating.

At present, many people are vaccinated and more details are known about COVID-19. The current strain is not thought to provide much difficulty. However, it has been advised that people with existing medical problems and elderly people take extra precautions. Still, it is wise for all people to use masks and hand sanitiser.
