Nagpai Gosum II, a breathtaking mountain peak, can be found in Nepal, reaching an impressive height of 7,296 meters or 23,937 feet. Its geographical position is marked by 28° 04' 29" latitude and 86° 39' 09" longitude, and it's currently accessible to climbing enthusiasts.
This awe-inspiring peak belongs to the Cho-Oyu massif and is situated roughly three kilometers southwest of Mt Cho-Oyu. It is one of the three distinct summits that form a single range extending east-to-west, alongside Pasang Lhamu Peak and Nagpai Gosum I. Located within Province 1 of Nepal, Nagpai Gosum II is part of the Mahalangur mountain range. The nearest support center for those journeying from basecamp is the Namche police post at a distance of 22.7KM. Thokchambo is the closest settlement to it.
For mountaineers eager to ascend this summit, royalty fees vary by season: Nepalese climbers pay NRs 6000 in Spring, NRs 3000 in Autumn, and NRs 1500 in Winter/Summer, while foreign climbers are charged USD 500 in Spring, USD 250 in Autumn, and USD 125 in Winter/Summer.
To reach the base of Nagpai Gosum II, travelers can fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. The caravan route extends through Lukla-Namche-Khumjung-Gokyo-BC/Thame-Lunak-BC, totaling a length of 40.2KM. The climbing trail spans approximately 18.2KM in length with the entire expedition predicted to take around 30 days to complete.
