Barefoot Mom

This picture was taken by journalist Mr. Ramesh Poudel, featuring a "Barefoot Mom" who walks for six hours from her home to reach the nearest market. She has no one to look after her daughter while she is away for her regular work. Carrying her daughter barefoot on her back, she climbs uphill with half a quintal of load. It is evident that her daughter is also barefoot. This is not an exceptional case in the area where she lives.

When we saw this picture, we immediately realized our goal. We are committed to ensuring that no daughter becomes a "Barefoot Mom" and faces the same difficulties as their mothers did while accessing the market. We are working on two projects simultaneously to resolve the issue sustainably. The first is the establishment of a P2C business model to provide barefoot moms access to the market with better commodity prices, and the second is the promotion of the rural tourism.

We will not exaggerate the situation here. If you are reading this story, it's time to enhance your consciousness and understand the responsibility toward this issue.

Tourism is a significant contributor to a country's economy. Hence, rural tourism is a direct help and the surest way to assist the rural population. It is ironic that the most economically poor population resides in the naturally richest places in rural areas. We guarantee you extreme pleasure by being a part of barefoot moms' difficulties and having a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The picture where the "Barefoot Mom" belongs is Chepang Hill, listed among rural tourism destinations in the knowledge-seeker section.
