The Himalayan Saxifrage is a perennial herb that grows in open slopes across the Himalayas particularly in Nepal and spanning from Uttarakhand in India to Bhutan. The flowering season for this species is observed from August to October. It forms clusters of bright yellow flowers, with only a few blossoms. The upper leaves of this plant are triangular-heart-shaped and possess a rounded lobe that clasps the stem. On the other hand, the basal leaves are broadly ovate, featuring a heart-shaped base. The petals are broadly oblong-ovate, measuring about 5-7 mm, while the sepals are shorter and broadly ovate.
