If you are passionate about contemporary art and culture, you should not miss the opportunity to visit Kathmandu Triennale - November 23-December 23, 2023. This is a mega art event that showcases the works of over 130 artists and collaborators from more than 40 nations, across five historically and culturally significant venues in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Triennale is Nepal’s premier international platform for global contemporary art, now in its fourth edition. It is the latest iteration of the pioneering Kathmandu International Art Festival, initiated and organised by Siddhartha Arts Foundation, which has nurtured several historical outcomes for Nepali arts and the city of Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Triennale is curated by Artistic Director Cosmin Costinas and Co-Curators Sheelasha Rajbhandari and Hit Man Gurung. The Triennale is informed by discourses of decolonisation, migration and displacement, indigenous knowledge, and redefining the parameters of art beyond a Eurocentric canon. It will discuss appropriate frameworks of understanding and bring together the multiple aesthetic and cosmological lineages active today.

Kathmandu Triennale invites you to explore the diverse and vibrant art scenes of Nepal and beyond, and to engage with the critical issues and questions that shape our world today. Kathmandu Triennale is a platform for dialogue, exchange, learning and inspiration that celebrates the power and potential of contemporary art.
