The world's highest stupa, Boudhanath, is located in Nepal.

The Great Stupa of Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal. It is located in the northeastern part of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The stupa stands at a height of 36 meters (118 feet) and has a diameter of 120 meters (394 feet). It is one of the largest stupas in the world.

The stupa is believed to have been built in the 14th century after the arrival of Tibetan merchants in Kathmandu. It is said that the stupa was built as a place for worship and meditation for the Tibetan community living in the city. Today, it is a popular pilgrimage site for Buddhists from all over the world.

The Great Stupa of Boudhanath has a white dome-shaped structure that is topped with a gold-colored spire and a painted pair of eyes. The eyes, which are known as the "Eyes of Buddha," are believed to symbolize the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha. The stupa is surrounded by a circular walkway where pilgrims walk clockwise, spinning prayer wheels and chanting mantras.

The Great Stupa of Boudhanath was severely damaged in the earthquake that struck Nepal in 2015, but it has since been rebuilt and restored. Today, it remains a significant religious and cultural site in Nepal, attracting visitors from all over the world.
